FAQ
This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?
No worries at all—you're in great hands! My goal is to make your session feel natural, fun, and stress-free, whether it's your first time or your fiftieth.
Here’s what you should know before we shoot:
We'll plan together:
Before your session, we’ll have a consultation call to go over your vision, the type of images you want, outfit ideas, and any questions you have. You won’t be doing this alone.
I’ll guide you the whole way:
Don’t worry about “posing” or knowing what to do—I’ll direct you with easy, natural prompts that bring out the best in you. You'll never be left wondering what to do with your hands!
Arrive prepared, not perfect:
Wear something you feel good in, get a good night’s sleep, and bring any essentials you may need (like water, makeup touch-ups, or an extra shirt if it’s a branding session). I’ll handle the lighting, angles, and camera magic.
Studio or location details will be covered:
If we’re shooting in a studio, I’ll let you know what to expect, where to go, what’s available (like changing areas, mirrors, etc.), and any fees or time constraints.
You’re allowed to be nervous.
Almost everyone is at first—but I promise it fades fast! I’ll make sure the energy stays positive and relaxed so you can enjoy the experience (:
What is included in a photo session?
Each session includes:
- A pre-session consultation
- The shoot itself (duration varies by package)
- A set number of professionally edited images
- An online gallery for download and sharing
- Optional add-ons like extra edits, prints, or extended time are also available.
📷 How many pictures will I receive?
Each package includes a guaranteed minimum number of fully edited, high-resolution images, based on the session you book (you'll see the exact amount listed in each package description).
However, you'll also receive access to an online proof gallery where you can view all the best images from our session—including extras beyond the minimum.
🖼️ What editing is included?
All final images include standard professional editing, which covers:
Color correction
Exposure adjustments
Skin tone balancing
Cropping & straightening
Black and white versions are also included at no extra charge if you’d like them!
Some packages may include more advanced or stylized editing, depending on the session type and scope—this will be detailed in your specific package description or discussed during your consultation.
If you’re interested, your online gallery also gives you the option to order professional prints, framed artwork, and custom photo products for an additional charge—beautifully made and delivered straight to you.
☁️ What happens if I need to cancel or if the weather doesn’t cooperate?
Life happens—I get it! If you need to cancel or reschedule, I kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice so we can make arrangements without losing your booking fee.
For outdoor sessions, if the weather isn’t ideal (rain, high winds, etc.), I’ll reach out in advance to discuss options. You’ll have the choice to:
- Reschedule for the next available date
- Move the session to an indoor/studio location (if applicable)
Your comfort and the quality of your photos come first, so we’ll always make the best decision together.
✨ What about retouching?
Light retouching—such as blemish removal, flyaway hair cleanup, or minor background distractions—is included in select packages or available as an add-on.
If you need more detailed editing (e.g. skin smoothing, object removal, or creative compositing), we can discuss those needs during your consultation, and I’ll provide a custom quote if needed.
How far in advance should I book?
I recommend booking at least 2–4 weeks in advance, especially during peak seasons.
For product shoots or branding sessions, earlier planning allows more time for creative direction and preparation.
Do you require a deposit or retainer fee to book a session?
Yes, I require a non-refundable retainer fee to officially reserve your session date and time. This fee is applied toward the total cost of your photo package.
The retainer ensures that your spot is held exclusively for you, and it allows me to begin preparing for your session, including time spent on communication, planning, and reserving studio or location availability if needed.
Here’s how it works:
The retainer is due at the time of booking.
The remaining balance is due on the day of your photoshoot.
If you need to reschedule, I require at least [insert your preferred time, e.g., 48–72 hours] notice so we can move your session to a new date without penalty.
If you cancel your session entirely and choose not to reschedule, the retainer is non-refundable and will not be returned.
Please note that no dates are held without a paid retainer. Booking is handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
